Starting at community college and transferring to a four-year institution is an affordable pathway to a bachelor’s degree. But too many community college transfer students face roadblocks. Maryland is currently working on two initiatives to streamline transfer. Clear transfer pathways improve higher education access and affordability and are essential to developing a more skilled and adaptable workforce for Maryland.
