There are currently about 8 million unfilled jobs across the U.S. according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Of these 8 million, about 70% do NOT require a bachelor’s degree. However, most of these ~5.6 million open positions DO require some form of postsecondary education. Maryland’s community colleges offer postsecondary education.
