2018 was a very busy legislative session. MACC reviewed over 200 bills and, along with presidents, faculty and administrators, testified on over 70 of those.

The most exciting development was the passage of a community college promise scholarship bill, which as of this writing, is awaiting the Governor’s signature.

Another positive development was the creation of a Facilities Renewal Grant which will save colleges from using capital project funds for general maintenance.
